Chazarah Berurah on Mishna Berurah
The challenges of reviewing
Halacha in general and Mishna Berurah in particular are manifold. Sefer Chazarah
Berurah overcomes these difficulties using a ground breaking approach.
The premise of this sefer is; that commensurate with the amount of confusion that can be eliminated from the process; is the success and retention that can be hoped for. Furthermore, like all chalakim of Torah, one can only hope to retain the knowledge of Mishna Berurah by constant chazarah. Therefore the format has to be such, that it lends itself to quick review, and is as orderly and clutter free as possible, yet contains all the myriad halachos and sevoros found in the Mishna Berurah.
Sefer Chazarah Berurah accomplishes this in the following manner. In the Mishna Berurah there is a need to constantly look up in the Shulchan Aruch and down to the Mishna Berurah. This can detract from one’s concentration and ends up being very time costly. With Sefer Chazarah Berurah this is eliminated. The sefer is fashioned into a flowing text that can be read smoothly.
Addionally, although the Mechaber and Rama are left intact, the Mishna Berurah is organized in the most logical order, which is beneficial to memorization. Those parts which are necessary to explain and define (while clearly marked) are incorporated within the words of the Shulchan Aruch. More lengthy explanations are afterward, and cases similar to the ones being discussed, are after that.
Finally, many parts of the Biur Halacha and Shaar Hatzion are important for explaining the matter at hand, and they add important halachos that one wouldn’t want to miss, yet they aren’t easily reviewed. In this sefer their main points are inserted in the appropriate places, enabling one to have an easy chazarah of them.
Generally the layout is clear, pleasant to the eye, and very user friendly.
The sefer was compiled by Rav Ahron Zelikovitz, and has received the haskamos of Harav Ezriel Auerbach shlita, Harav Yisroel Ganz shlita, Harav Shmuel Feurst shlita, and Harav Shmuel Felder shlita. The sefer is being distributed by Im Hasefer and is available in seforim stores.

Chazarah Berurah on Yoreh Deah
A similar system has been developed for some sections of Yoreh Deah. As noted above in regard to the Mishna Berurah, the difficulties involving chazarah, in the שו'ע there is an additional challenge. Most of the time the ט'ז and ש'ך and פתחי תשובה all discuss a certain issue, yet they aren’t all lined up one after the next in an organized fashion. Many times they aren’t seen immediately after the appropriate שו'ע, due to the letter system where one has to look up out of the text to find the relevant commentary.
Therefore, the material has been reorganized for chazarah purposes, so that it can be read in a flowing order without any need for footnotes. All related matters have been grouped together, but the source of everything is clearly obvious. The מחבר and רמ'א are always on the shaded background, the ש'ך and נקודת הכסף are written plain, [the ט'ז] has brackets around it, the (פתחי תשובה) has parentheses around it, and <ר' עקיבא איגר> has arrows around it. Every individual subject is seperated into its own box, and then broken down further by bolding the beginning of each idea. It has been done on הלכות נדה and תערובות ,בשר בחלב, and מליחה. On הלכות נדה the ש'ך and ט'ז are somewhat condensed, (and have now been converted to the same format as the Mishna Berurah), on תערובות ,בשר בחלב and מליחה they are mostly left as is.
